FAQ

Commonly asked questions, answered to ease your nerves!

Ok…i’m intrigued, how does this all work?

We get it. Boudoir sessions have only gotten REALLY popular in the last few years and its not exactly the thing you bring up during the office meetings (unless you’re me). Our boudoir experience is simple. We have a studio location in downtown Springfield, MA where everything takes place from your hair and makeup styling to your photo reveal. We will walk you through styling and prep before your shoot, help you select outfits the day-of, and guide you through the poses from your head to your toes. The hardest part is usually narrowing down the images, seriously.

Why is the session pricing and print+product pricing separate?

Because we want to provide our clients with a customized-to-you experience and we recognize that not everyone wants the same thing. Your session fee is for your boudoir experience, the print+products are your one-of-a-kind artwork (whatever it may be!).

what is required for me to book a session?

A Quote, Contract, and Session Payment are required to lock in your session date. Once you fill out our ‘Book a Session’ form, I will chat with you about details and send over the full pricing information as well as dates we have available! Your session fee balance is due in full at booking.

What if I have no idea what to wear for my session?

Take a deep breath, We got you! Before your session I will chat with you about styling and send over a lingerie guide to help you figure out what styles make the most sense for you. If you are still on the fence, our extensive client closet with sizes XXS-5X is available for you to use! We have a huge variety of styles and colors to fit every woman.

your sessions are a little out of my budget, can I make payments towards my boudoir experience?

Absolutely! We want this process to be as flexible as possible. Your session fee is due at booking to reserve your date and then we will set you up on a pre-payment plan to make payments towards your prints+products. You’ll also unlock amazing studio bonuses only available to those who pre-pay. Plus, you’ll arrive on your session date with nothing left to worry about- Its a win/win!

will you touch up the images? what if I have a break out before our session.

Our studio rule of thumb for editing images is skin smoothing, blemishes + bruises and minor touch ups. We remove and edit anything that isn’t a permanent part of your body. The poses that I will guide you through during your session will help to accentuate your curves in the most flattering ways, however, if you would prefer an even more refined look, please let me know and I can fine-tune your images.

Can I bring a friend with me?

As we know most of our clients travel several hours to our studio, bringing a buddy with to share the drive or lunch with is encouraged! We just ask that during your session they head out for coffee or wait in our office area. We’ve found that while it sounds like a great idea, having an extra pair of eyes and ears on you can sometimes hold you back and we want to make sure you can be as comfortable and confident as possible. Special exception for couple’s sessions, obviously.

I'm making my appointments at my salon! Do you recommend getting my hair cut or waxing or tanning before my session?

We recommend any hair coloring or cuts to take place 1-2 weeks prior to your session date. Any waxing you might do should be done 2-3 days before your shoot to avoid any redness or bumpiness. We recommend against tanning, spray tanning, or use of self-tanners. While I know most of us feel better with a tan, these processes can leave our skin blotchy or dry and cause the need for extra editing to fix. Our editing style is warm+saturated so you’ll look all glowy and sun kissed without the work. Tan lines can usually be touched up but we suggest trying to even them out as much as possible before your shoot as more difficult ones may require additional image touch-ups at an additional fee.
